French Broad River Views| U.T. KNoxville GeoSym 2023 #PhotoEssay

I recently had the opportunity to give the Edwin H. & Elizabeth H. Hammond lecture for the GeoSym 2023 Conference which takes place each year in the Department of Geography and Sustainability at the University of Tennessee Knoxville.

I want to thank Morgan Rose Shelor, Katrina Stack, Kayla Roulhac, Derek Alderman, LaToya Eaves, Nikki Luke, and Alex Moulton for logistical excellence, kindness, and intellectual bridging during my visit.

I also had a chance to visit Seven Islands Birding Park, a place I had not been, since the first anniversary of my son’s Heavenly Birthday in March 2021.

Following are photos from my time in Knoxville. It meant a lot to me.
